Social media advocates who work to network homeless shelter animals have expressed surprise that an English bulldog has not been reclaimed or rescued from a busy animal control agency in Miami, Florida. The five-year-old dog, dubbed Kilo, was taken in at the Miami-Dade Animal Services facility on August 19, and he was “due out” on August 24.

According to the Miami Shelter Big, Bullies, Black and Been Around Facebook page, Kilo was taken in as a stray…and though he is a purebred, and likely had a family, nobody came forward to reclaim him:

KILO – ID #A1748128
I am a male brown and white English Bulldog.

The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old and I weigh 57 pounds.

I was found as a stray and I may be available for adoption on 08/24/2020.

Saving Kilo

You can assist Kilo in his quest to join a new home by networking his adoption information.

    • I was fortunate enough to adopt him. He was perfect. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in April 2022 and passed away this week.
