In Montreal, Canada, a stray cat in need of help picked the perfect rescuer; no one can be sure how or why, but nevertheless you will want to read this heartwarming story of a kitty with discerning taste.
According to the Facebook page of Chatons Orphelins Montréal – COM – Réseau d’entraide, sauvetages, adoptions, a Good Samaritan named Stephanie kept a few cat shelter areas in her backyard for stray cats. One chilly day, a stray cat appeared and made himself comfortable in one of the cozy make-shift homes. Stephanie left food and water outside for her feline guest.
And as the days passed, the stray kitty became a bit braver and would approach Stephanie’s doorstep for food – everyday getting just a bit closer and watching for her arrival on the porch. As the weather grew colder, Stephanie decided it was time for the cat to come into the house.
Although a bit hesitant, the cautious but brave cat entered. As is natural for kitties, he explored and soon settled into a room Stephanie had set aside from her own cats to keep him separated. And it was just that first evening, that the stray kitty who no one in the neighborhood ever claimed to have lost, received rubs and scratches – his purring and pleasure caught on video:
