In St. Louis, three kind and concerned strangers stopped traffic on Monday to help a pair of bonded dogs out of a busy street where traffic had been swerving to avoid hitting them. The Good Samaritans called Stray Rescue of St. Louis for help and stayed with the dogs to make sure they were safe until volunteers from the rescue organization arrived.

“The male has a bad case of mange or perhaps flea dermatitis. He’s miserable and they are both cold. The female’s badly cropped ears and teets tell us life hasn’t been easy (she doesn’t have milk so no puppies at this time). We’ll get them the help they need. In the meantime, we want to thank the Good Samaritans for all they did to save them. Such kind people…,” the rescue posted on their social media page once the dogs were safely on their way to the organization’s partner veterinarian hospital.

The bonded pair have been dubbed Tony and Carmella Soprano. On their first night, after having been rescued, the two dogs slept on overstuffed blankets in a warm home. They are safe; is there anything nicer or kinder to write?

We will have updates on these two soon. Stay tuned. For now, check out the photos.
