A terribly neglected young dog arrived at San Antonio Animal Care Services on Monday. Can you believe this poor little guy is only four-years-old, but one can only imagine how difficult his life has been.
According to volunteers at Jack Russells in Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma Shelters, the dog is thought to be a Jack Russell terrier. Animal advocate, Kristin Tanzillo, shared the dog’s photo and his story on Facebook.
“This is shocking, but not surprising to me. I debated sharing with you guys because I can’t entirely tell if he’s even part JRT, but that’s exactly WHY he deserves all the help he can get,” wrote Kristin.
“Most of you know SACS, but for those who don’t, this is a high risk shelter that can provide minimal vet care. I worry this boy doesn’t stand a chance if not scooped up soon. Can someone help?”
The pup’s review date at the shelter is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10.
