There is little doubt that Cheyenne didn’t know she had been abandoned by her family. Sadly, she and her sweet bonded friend Saddie have been trying their best to adjust to shelter life at the Carson Animal Care Center since November 7, 2020. Last week Saddie was lucky enough to have been adopted.

Cheyenne came to the front of the kennel when the runner arrived. She stood with a closed mouth, soft eyes, a relaxed body, neutral ears, and a loose wag. She sniffed the runner’s hand and leash when presented to her and continued to wait in placepatiently. She allowed the runner to leash her with ease and exited the kennel on her own.From there, Cheyenne was led to the yard where she walked with a neutral posture. She walked nicely alongside the runner and bypassed all the barking dogs on the way. Cheyenne was led into the catch pen upon arrival and allowed herself to be collared with no issues.She was tolerant of all necessary adjustments and walked away to explore the surrounding environment until she was led into the yard. Cheyenne then casually approached the other dogs and greeted them with a closed mouth, soft eyes, a relaxed body, neutral ears and a gentle wag. She walked away when finished and went off to familiarize herself with the yard.When finished, Cheyenne occasionally stopped to interact with nearby dogs. She did so in a mellow manner, but overall preferredto keep to herself. Cheyenne is ok for public adoption. She has a gentle-dainty play style and is tolerant of other dogs.”
