Shepherd loved for 12 years and then her owner left her at shelter to die

At the Pasadena Humane Society, a 12-year-old German shepherd was surrendered by her owner on February 5; her owner requested Macy be euthanized. How sad – and even if her family did love her, why wouldn’t they want to be with her when she needed them most?

Tragically, Macy seems to understand she is no longer wanted nor a member of the family she had known nearly her entire life.

“This baby girl was too sad to get up. It’s so sad to see them like this,” Macy’s advocate wrote on Facebook after posting the senior’s photos.
