An elderly dog in Charleston, South Carolina, lost his eyes due to an untreated disease, and now an animal shelter is hoping to find him a “fospice” (foster/hospice) home. On Wednesday night, the Charleston Animal Society issued a public plea to Facebook followers on behalf of the 10-year-old dog, whose name is Picasso.
The shelter writes:
Please is there anyone out there for this sweet elderly gentleman! We consider him a hospice case meaning he needs a living space to live out the remainder of his life…however long that might be! His name is Picasso and he’s a beautiful 10 yr old chestnut colored terrier blend.
And a special request for Picasso’s information to be shared far and wide:
He is now blind! Please share his image far and wide and help us to find a place for him! #adoptatcas #seniordogs
Please help Picasso find a special home to spend the remainder of his life in! According to people who have met this senior pooch, he is “very sweet.”
All inquiries should be made directly to the animal shelter.
