A shelter in Auburn, Washington, is hoping to find a family who can take in two bonded dogs who were left homeless when their owner died. On Wednesday, the Auburn Valley Humane Society issued a plea for help on Facebook, writing:
We have a call to action and need your help!
The power is in your hands to spread the word and find Meka and Stella a home.
Their owner passed away, he was a single man, never married and no kids. Stella and Meka have now found themselves in a pickle, where they need to find a new place to call home. They have never been separated and their temporary guardian is trying their hardest to keep them together.
Stella and Meka have been listed on the shelter’s Home To Home site for two weeks, but nobody has inquired about them.
The shelter writes:
We know it is hard to open your home to two animals at the same time, especially when they are larger dogs, especially when they are older, but we have to hope that their forever home is out there!
