Dog with terminal cancer adopted

Shelter dog with terminal cancer has been adopted

A shelter dog, given months to live because of terminal skin cancer, has been adopted. Marley was being cared for at the Michiana Humane Society in Michigan City, Indiana, but now he gets to go to a real home.

The animal shelter alerted Facebook fans to the good news on Thursday, writing:

Marley has an approved adopter and will be going home this weekend! 💙💙 Thank you to all who shared his post. He will be getting a #secondchance for whatever time he has left💙💙

The shelter’s prior request for help stated:

Our vet believes he may have approximately 6 months left and is a hospice case. At this point in Marley’s life, he is looking for a home where he can be the only animal and live out his years comfortably and loved.

If you do not have any animals in your home and are willing to love and care for Marley until he crosses the rainbow bridge, please come in to meet this sweet boy.

May the rest of your days be filled with love, tasty food, delicious bones, long car rides and endless snuggles Marley!
