A senior dog, 10 years of age, has become the latest victim of trying economic times. Her name is Slick and she was surrendered by her family on April 30 because they could no longer afford to care for her.

Today, the senior pug is waiting at the Carson Animal Services facility in California – hoping that someone will free her from her strange new surroundings and take her to a real home. According to the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page, Slick is spayed, house-trained, good on a leash and dog friendly.

Networking help needed

You can help Slick find a new family by taking a moment to network her adoption information.

  1. So what is wrong with the dog that they cannot afford? I have several maxed out credit cards for my Sr dog’s care. and will probably have more by the time my Beagle suffering from liver cancer and cushings disease decides it’s her time to go to the Rainbow Bridge. They gave her 3 months a year and a half ago, and I will keep on paying as long as she is not in pain and happy. She will turn 14 in June. If someone is inclined to help this Sr dog, then knowing what her problems are would certainly be a help.
