A sad and frightened three-month-old puppy curls up on his bed in a crowded, noisy Big Spring, Texas shelter. Lots of dogs come in – not enough go out through the front door. Today, will be different for this six-and-a-half pound baby. He is available for adoption, and he is waiting to begin his life in a loving, responsible home.
Although he has no name, we can change all of that. Volunteers have described him as sweet and friendly.
The Big Spring animal shelter is an excellent resource when looking for a pet. We strongly encourage individuals to find their next pet at our shelter! Another advantage to shelter adoptions is that the fees are usually much less than the purchase price of an animal from a pet store or breeder.
This is a small, municipal run quarantine facility, and there is no staff veterinarian at this shelter. Animals ARE NOT CURRENTLY spayed/neutered before leaving the facility. Adopters or rescues that pull are responsible to have animals altered within 30-60 days or by 6 months of age per the animal control rescue/adoption contract.
