Sad outcome for emaciated dog who was abandoned in a park

A sad outcome has been announced with regards to an emaciated dog who was abandoned at a park in Trenton, New Jersey. The malnourished dog, dubbed Caddy, was taken in by the Trenton Animals Rock non-profit agency, and they were the ones who shared the heartbreaking news about Caddy on October 17:

UPDATE 10/17 1:37 PM:
Caddy has cancer and an enlarged heart and we have made the compassionate choice to stop treatment and let him go. Please continue to be kind and supportive thank you all for loving him.

The animal welfare agency took Caddy in after animal control officers found him dumped in a park. The agency had vowed to help him recover and show him what it means to be loved and cared for.

When the veterinary exams revealed the extent of Caddy’s health issues, the group made the difficult, but compassionate choice to allow him to pass peacefully. Rest in peace Caddy.
