A reward is being offered for information in a disturbing case of animal cruelty in Troy, Montana. As reported by the Kootenai Valley Times, a reward of $3100 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever severely abused a puppy dubbed Percy.
Percy was discovered in early March with severe injuries. The City of Troy reached out to the public to see who the puppy belonged to on March 9:
Does anyone know whose dog this is. Found in Troy around Callahan and 6th Street. It has been hurt. Not sure how. Please call 406-295-4151 if you know who it belongs to.
Nobody knows exactly what happened to Percy, but the evidence suggests that he was beaten, stomped, kicked and set on fire with a flammable liquid. Against all odds, the pup recuperated from his injuries and he has since been adopted to a new home.
But the quest to find the person who hurt him continues. Anyone with information about this cruelty case is asked to call the Troy Police Department at (406) 295-4111.
