Rescue help needed for homeless, geriatric dog

Rescue help is urgently needed for a geriatric dog who is being held at a busy Florida animal control agency. The eight-year-old Chihuahua, dubbed Matilda, is at the Miami-Dade Animal Services facility and she needs to be out within days.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Urgent Dogs & Cats of Miami Facebook page wrote:

needs rescue help ASAP due out 08/01/20, need rescue help under foster agreement. GERIATRIC PET /UNDERWEIGHT 🆘🆘🆘🆘
3 POUNDS – FEMALE CHIHUAHUA
MATILDA

Medical notes on Matilda reveal that she cries when touched, is blind, missing teeth, and covered in possible ant bites.

  1. I would run to the shelter to get her. But I’m 2000 miles away. The abuse she must have endured and then thrown out onto the street blind. Give me 1 minute alone with the human who hurt her!
