A puppy survived being thrown from an overpass in Knoxville, Tennessee. On Friday, the Knoxville Police Department posted a photo of the puppy and recounted what is known about the incident:
This morning around 9:50 a.m., the KPD Animal Control Unit received a call from an individual who saw a dog falling off one of the highway ramps near the 640 interchange over Papermill Drive. It is believed the dog was thrown from the overpass by an unknown individual. The dog, who is being treated at Young-Williams Animal Center, is an approximately seven-month old husky.
As reported by Knox News, the puppy was rescued because a police officer happened to be parked beneath the overpass at the time. The officer reported hearing, a man’s voice “grunting and cursing,” followed by a loud thump.

The KPD Animal Control Unit is asking anyone with information regarding the dog or its owner to call 865-215-8639.
