An Oklahoma man is facing felony animal cruelty charges after surveillance cameras caught him hurling a puppy an estimated 30 feet into the air. The six-month-old Chihuahua, named Little Foot, suffered permanent brain damage as a result of the cruel incident, reports KRON 4 News.
The man identified as the abuser is 28-year-old Ryan Adams and he was caught because a neighbor called 9-1-1 after seeing him hurl the puppy far into the air.
Little Foot’s owners, Chrystal Bolling and Jeremiah Cook, are heartbroken, telling the news agency,
She makes me so happy,” Bolling said. “I want her to come home.”
Adams painted himself the hero initially, telling the puppy’s owners that he found a cat attacking Little Foot and saved her. But the neighbor who called 9-1-1 revealed the horrible truth. Bolling recounted what the caller told dispatch:
“I heard some yelping, and then I saw this little puppy flying through the air, like 30 feet in the air, and then it came down.”
Adams was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
