Police in Pell City, Alabama, are hoping to find whoever is responsible for shooting a puppy. The Pell City Police Department issued a release about the cruelty incident on Monday, writing:

This beautiful puppy was shot in the rear legs yesterday at approximately 8:00pm in the 100 block of Shady Dale. A coward shot this animal for no apparent reason except to inflict pain and bodily injury.

Adding:

We have been able to locate the owner and the veterinarian bills are going to be large so any donations made to the Friends of the Pell City Animal Shelter for King will be used for his healthcare expenses.

Information needed

The authorities are hopeful that someone can provide a tip to help them identify the person responsible. Information can be phoned to the Pell City Police Department at 205-884-3334.
