In the North Wales section of Wrexham, police have launched an investigation into reports of a cat dying after having been strapped to a firework in the Queensway area.
The NWP Wrexham Town reported the egregious news on their Twitter feed asking for the public’s help with information about those responsible for such an alleged heinous and inhumane act.
“Reports to the police that a pet cat has sadly died after being strapped to a firework in the Queensway area. NWP take reports like this very seriously, please try and help us find who was responsible. Please call 101 or crimestoppers ref Y163308.”
Investigators have not found the cat’s body in the field, and in a follow up tweet repeated the plea for help by the public. Social media reacted with outrage; many participants insisting fireworks should be made illegal.
