Police detectives with the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) are investigating a suspected case of animal cruelty on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The Twitter account for the authorities provides a few details about the alleged case of cruelty.

MDTA Tweeted:

On Sunday, April 19, MDTA Police detectives were notified of a disturbing video of animal cruelty that had been posted to social media. The incident occurred on the westbound span of Bay Bridge at approx 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 18.

Though MDTA did not provide further details about the situation, the Capital Gazette reports that the video shows a person in a “bright orange sweatshirt” throwing a live duckling out of the window of a moving vehicle.

Anyone with information about this situation is asked to call MDTA at 410-295-8146.
