A pitifully neglected dog, malnourished and injured, was found crawling beneath foreclosed property in Houston, Texas. The four-year-old Malamute mix was taken to the BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions facility and he is urgently in need of rescue.
On Sunday, the Houston Underdogs Facebook page outlined the dog’s laundry list of maladies, writing:
This poor guy has had a really hard life lately!
He was picked up as a stray by a volunteer on 11/13. He was found crawling under a foreclosed property.
He is malnourished, has a broken tail, is positive for sarcoptic mange, has intestinal parasites, and an injury to his right rear leg (X-rays pending) Miraculously, he’s heartworm negative and has been friendly with people, as well as other dogs.
Has this dog ever known a day of love and care? His body reflects what appears to be a lifetime of utter neglect. Please help this dog find the rescue agency that he needs to survive. Time is of the essence.
