A “sweet and well-behaved” dog has been seemingly overlooked and forgotten at a North Carolina animal shelter. According to the Avery County Humane Society, Chunky Monkey is the last available dog for adoption at the facility. On Wednesday morning, the animal welfare agency posted a photo of the homeless pooch, writing:
Chunky Monkey is the last available dog here in our shelter. I don’t understand it because she is so sweet, well behaved and overall best we have. She always wants someone to give her attention. Chunky is super easy-going and friendly. She is great with the other dogs.
