At the Nueces County Animal Shelter in Texas, time is almost up for two young dogs described as long hair Dachshund mixes. Both dogs were surrendered by their owner – no explanation as to why the dogs were left at the shelter has been made available.
Unfortunately, the shelter is overcrowded, and these two dogs have little chance of seeing tomorrow. It’s after Christmas, and the “irresponsible owners are coming out of the woodwork” one shelter volunteer tearfully wrote on social media.
According to the shelter’s volunteer Facebook page, Nueces County, TX: Dogs in Need of Rescue, the deadline to rescue these two pups is 6:00 p.m.
