Over 100 animals seized from ‘rescue agency’ in Portland

Over 100 animals have been seized from a self-proclaimed rescue agency in Portland, Oregon. According to multiple sources, on Tuesday, officials seized an estimated 117 animals from Woofin Palooza in NE Portland.

KOIN News reports that the animals were seized from the organization after an ongoing investigation into allegations of animal abuse. Thanks to a coordinated effort between the police and other agencies, a total of 65 cats and 52 dogs were removed from the rescue/boarding facility. Staff from the Oregon Humane Society was present to evaluate and treat the animals.

Individuals who had animals boarded at the facility, and/or anyone with information about the business, should reach out to Multnomah County Animal Services at (503) 988-7387.
