A seven-year-old Mastiff has been taken off of the adoption floor at Florida’s Miami-Dade Animal Service facility, and he has just days to live. According to the Rescue Me Miami Facebook page, the dog named John, is frightened and out of time.

Poor 7 year old #JOHN #A1567576 heard someone was there to meet him but the mean staff scared them away. He feels hopeless……
6/20 TAKEN OFF ADOPTION FLOOR AND IN THE BACK. DIES MONDAY 6/22 💔
And provided some insight to John’s current demeanor:
He is fearful, only trusts those who actually care if he lives or dies. Owner DUMPED HIM BACK as a SENIOR, HW POSITIVE and REQUESTED EUTHANASIA! How should he act after being betrayed and now deemed a monster!
