No interest for brothers ignored too long at high kill Texas shelter

Neither JJ nor DJ have anyone interested in either rescuing or adopting them at the Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. There have been more than 1900 shares on social media, yet no one  has offered them homes.

The friendly brothers arrived at the shelter as strays from the 77049 zip code on Valentine’s Day.

“They look in rough shape, hair loss and possible bite scars as well, again, life on the streets to survive is not easy and they need to know how it is to live as a loving pet after all!

They wag their tails and love attention as the volunteer made the following video…”

Volunteers at the shelter are calling them JJ and DJ; they love each other and at least for the short future have each other. Their ID#A550375-376, both males, American Bulldogs; one is three years old and other is one year old. One weighs 58 lbs and other weighs 52 lbs; one tested heartworm positive and other negative. Both have alopecia and superficial abrasions. Both dogs have been receiving medication.

“I requested shelter for re-evaluation of the breed of both dogs since many keep saying they look more like a Dogo. Is something we can’t decide as a volunteers, they have to do it. They know both have been networked and have extension until 2/20.”
