There is sad news to report about a missing therapy dog in Glenville, New York. On March 2, two Cane Corsos, named Orso and Lucia, disappeared from their owner’s yard – weeks later, Orso was found deceased, but the search continued for Lucia.
On Tuesday, the Facebook page established to help find the missing dogs announced that Lucia’s body had also been found:
It is with a heavy heart and many tears that we inform you that Lucia was found in the pond with her brother. The scuba divers didn’t see her she was cover In weeds. I am so taking back with all the love and compassion from every for your compassion for Lucia and Orso.
When Orso’s body was initially found, no details were provided about his death. A week after he was discovered, his owners provided information, writing:
Orso was found in a pond We are not sure how Orso ended up so far from home where he was found.
The report showed nor no trauma was done to Orso his blood and tissue work came back and nothing was found cause of death was drowning. We still do not know why he was so far from home.
Divers searched the pond where Orso was found, and Lucia was not located…until today. The dogs’ owner writes words of gratitude for those who tried to help with the intensive search:
I am so taking back with all the love and compassion from every for your compassion for Lucia and Orso. In my heart or hearts I thought we would find her. Everyone gave 200% trying to find her. The money will be donated to the search and rescue for Corsos.

How heartbreaking, Rest in peace Orso and Lucia at least you are together. My sincere condolences to their owners, I can’t imagine the heartbreak.
