A senior dog was bludgeoned to death after coming inside of his owner’s Taylor, Texas, home. As reported by the Statesman, Ronny Woods is facing a felony animal cruelty charge for killing the 10-year-old Labrador retriever, who came inside and sought out comfort on a mattress last fall.
Woods told the authorities that his dog “Levi” was an outside dog, but in November, the dog got inside and laid down on a mattress. Woods was so “frustrated” by the dog’s behavior that he struck Levi repeatedly in the head with a cane and then burned the dog’s body.
Woods first tried to tell the police that he thought the old dog had rabies, but he later admitted the true story. The accused dog killer could face up to two years in prison if he is found guilty. He is currently being held at the Williamson County Jail.

That poor dog! Who ever that man is,he should realize that what goes around, comes around! He may not see it but there will be a dark cloud over him for the rest of his life. Thank God that the sweet dog is in God’s house now??

2 years? that’s it?!! This precious dog was not a pet; the dog was property/prisoner. Even as property, it was not regarded highly enough to give it proper attention and care as it aged. The dog may have never been treated like family or positively interacted with and loved. This man is scum for reacting this way when the dog was only seeking climate-controlled physical comfort and probably also emotional tlc human companionship comfort, which it did not receive. For its unconditional love & loyalty, it was bludgeoned to death and burned. Sorry, but this man needs to die. Prison is too good for him. Maybe some prison justice will happen within his time served, as similar abuse & death is what he deserves.
