In Mallorca, a disturbing video of a man holding the halter of a winning racehorse and forcing her to drink an entire bottle of champagne has outraged social media with animal advocates calling the man’s actions “appalling.”
According to the Daily Mail, the video was recorded following the Spanish Island’s Mallorca’s Manacor Grand Prix on Monday. The horse named Helen Llinaritx won the race. The clip showed the horse being held by her halter and reins while a man empties the bottle of bubbly into her mouth.
The horse tried to pull away, but not before the man emptied the last few drops over her head. He then kissed the horse on her nose and the crowd could be heard cheering and clapping in the background.

A formal complaint has been lodged by the Balearic Islands Animal Association for animal cruelty, calling out the stable person for mistreatment, and one who has no respect for animals.
