A Florida man was arrested and is facing charges for allegedly stabbing his family’s senior dog, who was said to be sleeping at the time. As reported by ABC 7 News, David K. Jones’ wife told the authorities that their 12-year-old dog, Brandi, was sleeping when her husband stabbed the dog with a sword.
The woman stated that the dog was not aggressive and was the “best dog they ever had.” Despite the glowing remarks from the wife, Jones claimed that the dog had nipped him during play time, and he feared for his wife’s safety. In further remarks, he claimed that the dog had “looked at him crazy.”
The 44-year-old Bradenton man is being cited for the torture and killing of a dog.
