A Utah man has been jailed, and is facing felony charges, for allegedly killing a cat and dog and claiming that he ate their hearts. As reported by WFXR News, 33-year-old Bruce Anthony Saunders told the police that he had chopped up the animals and then “ate their hearts.”
The gruesome crime took place at an Ogden residence in June. The police who responded to the residence found two dead animals in a bathtub, and a great deal of blood in various areas of the apartment, in addition to a blood-covered baseball bat.
A necropsy on the animals revealed that they had sustained severe injuries before actually dying. Saunders was booked into the Weber County jail, without bail. He was charged earlier this week.
