A man in Texas has been arrested for allegedly strangling a small dog. According to KRLD News, police in Parker County arrested 20-year-old Ryan Hobbs for killing his friend’s small dog.

Hobbs initially claimed that the dog died after slipping from his hands during a bath, but a veterinarian’s necropsy revealed that the dog died from strangulation.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler commented on the cruel death, stating:

“I’ve never seen one where they just flat chocked the dog to death. I mean, it’s just a defenseless animal.”

Hobbs is facing animal cruelty charges.
