A man has been arrested and is facing charges for fatally stabbing his neighbor’s dog in Barton County, Kansas. As reported by KRSL News, the dog was repeatedly stabbed inside of a kennel structure on November 4. Witnesses and the authorities identified 32-year-old Christopher B. Delauder as the man responsible for the dog’s death.
According to the news agency, witnesses saw Delauder stabbing the kenneled dog and one person was responsible for pulling the man off of the dog. The suspect admitted to killing the dog to responding Barton County Sheriff’s deputies, though he provided no explanation for the fatal attack.
A police investigation determined that the dog was in its kennel when Delauder entered the structure and stabbed the dog at least eight times. Delaunder was arrested and taken to the Barton County Jail on charges of felony cruelty to animals and criminal trespass.
