How beyond despicable and unforgivable!!! This vile demon needs to pay a huge fine, be incarcerated as a menace to society for a good, long time. He should be strictly prohibited from ever having or being around animals for the rest of his miserable life. Psychopaths need to be committed, but all the looney bins have been closed down for the past 40 years. Too bad he will probably get just a tiny slap on the wrist, as usually happens in cases like this.
