An Ohio man is accused of shooting his own dog in the face. According to multiple sources, 23-year-old Kevin Fishburn, of Massillon, is the man identified of the cruel act which left the three-year-old dog with a gunshot wound on the side of his face.
The German shepherd was found in a rural area close to the Tuscarawas County line last week. The dog was taken to a veterinarian for treatment and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Fox 8 News reports that Fishburn was identified as a suspect after the Stark County Sheriff’s Office investigated. On Wednesday, a warrant for prohibitions concerning a companion animal was issued for Fishburn, who is suspected of intentionally harming his dog.
