Police in North Fort Myers, Florida, are hoping to find a man accused of abusing a dog. As reported by News-Press, witnesses informed the authorities that a man was observed throwing a pit-bull type dog to the ground and then kicking the dog several times.

The incident, which was observed by someone in a car at traffic light at Woodward Avenue and Pine Island Road, was reported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. The witnesses describe the suspect as a man with short blond hair, in his 30s, who was wearing black shorts, and no shirt. The man was observed walking away with the dog after the alleged abuse happened.

There is information indicating that the suspect may go by “Junior.” He may drive a silver Mercedes, and possibly lives in the Paloma Park area.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity or the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
