A Nebraska man is accused of killing a dog who nipped at someone at his Kearney residence on Thursday. According to multiple sources, 21-year-old Khaleem Baringer attacked the dog with a bat and a knife, causing fatal injuries.
Kearney authorities responded to the Countryside Trailer Court at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday. Witnesses told the authorities that Baringer attacked his dog after it nipped a female at the residence. The dog’s body was taken to the Kearney Area Animal Shelter, reports KSNB News.
The incident has resulted in multiple charges, including Cruelty to an Animal (Class IIIA Felony), and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony (Class II). Baringer was arrested and taken to the Buffalo county Jail.
