Last call: Shepherd shook in fear at impound and no one has come to help

At the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter, a young German shepherd still waits for someone to help her. Earlier in the week, shelter volunteers visited with Savannah; her eyes were full of sadness.

As each and every person walks by Savannah’s kennel cage, she seems to be desperately hoping her family is coming to save her. A volunteer writes about Savannah’s heartbreaking situation:

“… She pants anxiously, she shook with fear the day we saw her after being impounded. She just wants to go home. But her owners haven’t come for her, so she needs a fresh start. Shelter management has changed Savannah to Rescue Only, noting she’s very shy and can be unpredictable. Savannah is likely a dog who just isn’t going to show her best self in a shelter, and now her only hope of freedom is a rescue organization.”

Savannah’s Pet Harbor listing has shown to be available as of Saturday, January 11. Tragically, there are no guarantees how long she will be at the shelter. Share her plight with approved rescue organizations. Surely, this dog deserves better. Make sure to reference #A502618.
