A juvenile in Iowa is accused of horrific animal cruelty involving a dog and a young kitten. According to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, the unnamed juvenile disemboweled a dog who was still alive when discovered by ARL officials. In a news release, the animal welfare agency stated:
At approximately 3:30 a.m. ARL Animal Services Officers were dispatched to assist Des Moines Police with an adult dog who had been disemboweled, but was still alive. Due to the dog’s suffering and the horrific nature of its injuries, the dog was immediately euthanized by ARL officials.
Officials responded to the same address later about a deceased kitten. The agency writes:
Later that morning at approximately 10 a.m. ARL Animal Services Officers were dispatched related to the traumatic death of an 8 week-old kitten on the same property.
Necropsies were performed on the dog and cat and the findings have been provided to the authorities to aid in their investigation and case. The juvenile suspect in this case is being charged with 2 counts of animal torture, an aggravated misdemeanor, among other charges in adult court.
“We applaud the Des Moines Police Department for their work in appropriately pursuing the most serious charges possible for this case,” said ARL CEO Tom Colvin. He added:
“The link between those who abuse animals and abuse people is widely documented and this horrific case illustrates how a misdemeanor as the maximum penalty for what happened to these animals is terribly inadequate.”

This juvenile is headed to Hell for his cruelty. He is a lost soul. Some individuals are “born broken”……. he is most likely a sociopath and can’t be “fixed”…… when he “tires of torturing and killing animals”, he will start on people…… keep him locked up and lose the keys!!!

If a 12 Year old kid (who knows better and knows it’s wrong) was kicking the crap out of a dog and the dog nips or so much as growls (to protect himself) We know the dog will be the one who pays.The dog will be deemed vicious or dangerous and will euthanatized. Not if and or buts about it!! When the kid started it he was the one doing wrong….but yet the dog will still be the ONLY one to blamed and will LOSE HIS LIFE.
WE HAVE TO CHANGE ANIMAL LAWS ASAP!
