Just a terrified puppy who needs an angel to rescue her

At Roswell Animal Services in New Mexico, a puppy huddles in the corner of her shelter cage – huge brown eyes show how frightened she is, curled in a ball and her tail tightly tucked under her. On Thursday, this one-year-old arrived at the shelter as a stray. No puppy should be this scared.

Her name is Trixie, and she was found wandering along the 1400 block of West Second Street. Her family has not arrived at the shelter to reclaim her. The tricolor heeler is thought to be a Catahoula mix – a perfect young dog to be embraced by a family who will appreciate and bring out the best in her.

Share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing does save lives. Follow her story here as rescuers and animal advocates pledge funds to be paid to an approved rescue organization.
