In Jacksonville, Florida, officers from animal control are investigating recent videos appearing on Instagram showing terrible acts of alleged animal cruelty.
According to News4Jax, a viewer reported the post to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office who forwarded the information to animal control.
“ACPA (Animal Care and Protective Services) is aware of the video and has opened an investigation to determine if this occurred locally. Because it is an active investigation, no addition details or comment can be provided at this time.”
One of the disturbing videos showed a puppy being stamped to death; another video showed a hand dismembering a cat and other images included cats being set on fire. Authorities are actively searching where the videos were recorded.
“…you better get me to 2,000 followers on all accounts or I will make sure dogs and cats suffer. The clock is ticking young ones…,” the person believed to have tortured the animals posted.
