A horribly injured dog somehow manages to smile through his pain and he is oblivious to the fact that he has just hours left to live. On Wednesday morning, the Focus on Furever Facebook page shared Hank’s plight with followers, writing:

7 HOURS TO SAVE A LIFE

HANK SMILES AT YOU EVEN WITH HIS BRUTAL INJURY!

WILL BE PUT DOWN THIS AFTERNOON –
*Tag needed by 5 pm 08/26/20*

And provided information about his injury, writing:

Immediate Medical Release
Our animal control officers just brought in a injured blue heeler/cattle dog mix that we have named Hank. As you can see from the photos his leg is severely injured. He has been prescribed pain medications and has had his injury taken care of for the time being. He is as comfortable as we can make him. Hank needs rescue intervention as soon as possible to have his leg further treated.

I pray that someone local can open their heart and home for this precious treasure. He has such a wonderful disposition to be in obvious pain and still smile……
