UPDATE: The two dogs discovered wrapped in plastic bags and thrown into the dumpster did not survive. The investigation for the person(s) responsible continues.
In Las Vegas, Nevada, the Metro Police are asking for the public’s help finding and identifying the person(s) for alleged animal cruelty. The case dates back to January when two tan Chihuahuas were found wrapped in plastic garbage bags and then thrown into a dumpster located at 8560 W. Desert Inn Road.
According to Channel 8News, employees from a nearby business heard the dogs crying and went out to the dumpster to investigate. That’s when they found the two dogs tied in the plastic bag and left to suffocate. The employees uncovered the dogs from the bags and rushed them to a nearby veterinarian hospital.
A surveillance video appears to show the driver of a 2015 silver Toyota Camry tossing the dogs into the dumpster. The vehicle has two dents – one on the passenger front fender and the other on the rear passenger side fender.
Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or the dogs is asked to contact the LVMPD Animal Cruelty Unit at 702,828.3841 or Crime Stoppers at 702.385.5555.
There has been no updates on either of the two dogs. We will update as more information is made available.
