Weeks ago, someone embarked on what should have been a fun day adventure at a park with a dog dubbed Heath. The mixed breed dog was undoubtedly excited to run and play with his dog-park friends, but things were not what they appeared to be for Heath.
Heath was abandoned…his person walked away, leaving him behind in the city of Lakewood, California. Today, Heath is at the SEAACA Care Center in Downey. And again, Heath is facing rejection.
Heath has been at the facility for weeks and not only has an owner not come forward to claim him, adopters are also passing him by. An advocate writes:
ABANDONED AT THE DOG PARK!!
44lb ‘Heath’ was abandoned at the dog park, now he’s at the pound where he’s been waiting for nearly 3 weeks to be adopted or rescued. No one is coming for him! He has a pleasant demeanor according to the shelter.

It never fails to amaze me how heartless some people can be. I don’t know how someone can do something like this to their pet. I sincerely hope this poor boy finds a loving home and I sincerely hope whoever abandoned him suffers sever consequences from this!
