In Fort Worth, Texas more than 130 stray pets have arrived at the Fort Worth Animal Care and Control within the last few days. The shelter is over capacity, and the fate of many potentially adoptable pets are now causing grave concerns.
On Monday, a German shepherd puppy named Athena was surrendered to the shelter for being “destructive outside.” She has not been spayed and is available for adoption immediately.
Most likely Athena has not been trained; volunteers at the shelter think she may have been left outside. She is listed as only six-months of age.
