A “funny looking” husky, who was rejected by her breeder who failed to sell her because of her unique appearance, is embarking on a new life. Jubilee was taken in by the Husky House, in New Jersey, and the organization’s recent efforts to find her a home went viral on social media.
It was the Husky House’s Facebook post, from Jubilee’s perspective, which led to thousands of shares on social media:
Huskies are majestic looking dogs and I don’t know why I don’t look like them.
I wish I was beautiful so someone would want me to be their dog.
I like other dogs, but I don’t like cats. I love people, but I’m a little shy because people mostly laugh at the way I look.
Doesn’t anyone want a funny looking husky? I wish I had a family of my own who could love me even though I’m not pretty.
In short order, the non-profit agency let Facebook fans know that a new family had been found for Jubilee:
“Thanks to everyone who shared Jubilee’s story. She has found her forever home with previous Husky House adopters and joins her new fur-siblings in a wonderful new life!”
Jubilee’s family doesn’t want the unique-looking pup to become a “circus sensation,” but they do want her fans to be able to see her new life. They have created a Facebook page (You can request her as a friend at https://www.facebook.com/jubilee.thehusky) to allow people to see her as she enjoys life as a beloved companion.
