In Paris, Tennessee, nearly four-dozen dogs were rescued on Tuesday from a filthy single family trailer. Animal waste was everywhere. Some of the dogs suffered from flea infestation, bites and infections.

According to the Animal Rescue Corps who worked with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, approximately 50 Chihuahuas and small terrier mixes were living in horrible conditions. Both adult dogs as well as puppies have been rescued.

The dogs were a result of uncontrolled breeding. The dogs were surrendered by their owner; animal cruelty and neglect charges are possible.

The dogs are expected to be made available for adoption soon. Follow their plight here.
