An animal shelter in Florida is hoping to find the person who abandoned a litter of kittens, sealed in a cardboard box, outside of their facility on Sunday night. On Tuesday morning, Nassau County Animal Services wrote:
If anyone has any information on who dumped these poor kittens at our back door Sunday night please call us at 904 530 6150.

Sunday night at approximately 2 am a box of kittens was dropped off at our door completely sealed with tape and no air holes for these babies. It was also under 60° Sunday evening, luckily these babies survived and are now warm and taken care of.
Noting that abandonment of a pet is a crime:
Abandonment is illegal and will result in a citation, please wait until we are open to bring us animals so they are warm and safe. There are other options and we do our best to help and accommodate all animals. Who knows what COULD have happened.

If you are interested in adopting one of our cardboard box kittens an adoption application can be found here: https://bit.ly/NCASadopt Applications are subject NCAS approval. If NCAS receives more than one application for the same pet, we will place the pet in the home that is best suited for that pet. Nassau County Animal Services is showing pets by appointment, please call the shelter for details.
