On Monday, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Florida man who is accused of bestiality, possession of child porn, and animal cruelty. In a release, the authorities stated:

A Deltona man is in custody on multiple charges of possession of child pornography, with additional animal cruelty and bestiality charges pending after detectives also recovered video of the defendant sexually abusing the family dog

The man identified by the police is 20-year-old Joshua Jobe. According to the authorities, Jobe was accused of sexually abusing a different family dog back in 2016 – that dog was surrendered to animal services, and Jobe was taken into custody under the Baker Act.

The current situation involves the abuse of a dog named Brownie. The sheriff’s office stated that Volusia County Animal Services assisted with the case and noted that the University of Florida’s Veterinary Forensic Sciences Program responded to the scene to assist with the collection of evidence.

Jobe’s deviant behavior was discovered because his phone was stolen in a robbery, and then recovered. The authorities found approximately 1,400 files of child pornography on the device. Disturbing text messages were also found. The Sheriff’s office stated:

The analysis of Jobe’s phone also revealed numerous text conversations containing claims of access to children, and sexual contact with them. He had multiple conversations about raping children and babies.

While the authorities do not believe that Jobe had actual contact with children, they have asked for information from anyone who may have knowledge of untoward activities. The sheriff’s office writes:

At this point, there are no indications that Jobe personally had access to or sexually abused any children. However, anyone with potential information is asked to contact the Child Exploitation Unit at 386-323-3574.

Jobe is preliminarily charged with 20 counts and he is being held without bond. Other charges are pending.

  1. Clearly this man is severely mentally ill. He needs to be locked up forever AND have intensive psychiatric therapy and medications…….

    • He actually is. Its really concerning to see that this web page omitted that information from the article in order to create a mob mentality. If you google his name, animal abuse, and mental health it will take you to the actual original article.

I’m seriously not condoning his behavior. But this guy is probably another example of America’s failed mental health system that’s supposed to pinpoint these folks before they can do harm.

  2. EXCUSE YOU?! WOULD YOU FEEL THIS WAY IF HE DID THIS TO YOUR FAMILY MEMBER OR PET?! WE CANNOT MAKE LUDICROOUS EXCUSES! THE ONLY JUSTICE WOULD BE TO FEED THE EVIL LUNATIC TO A PACK OF HUNGRY ANIMALS! HOPEFULLY–IT WON’T MAKE THEM SICK!
