Update: Adopted to a wonderful couple with no other pets in the household! Happy adoption Schmitty!

On Monday, an animal shelter in north-central Washington posted a photo of an elderly cat and wrote:

“I AM REALLY FEELING HOPELESS.”

The post was made on behalf of 17-year-old Schmitty, a cat surrendered to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society because “the other pets in the house annoyed him.”

The shelter said:

We want Schmitty and everyone else to know that we are going to work hard and never give up until we find a home for him. Schmitty will need to be the only pet in a kind, gentle adult home, and he likes anyone who is nice and polite to him.

You can help Schmitty find his perfect new family by sharing his information! Find the shelter Facebook page here.
