Family claims that their kitten was ruthlessly kicked by a minor

A kitten belonging to a Fargo, North Dakota, family was seriously injured after being attacked. According to the kitten’s family, it was a “kid” who viciously kicked Simba, shattering his jaw.

According to Valley News Live, the incident happened on Tuesday morning while Simba was outside playing. Caley Heer tells the news agency that she received a Facetime call from her kids who were screaming, “Simba! Simba! Simba! I think he’s gonna die!’”

Simba’s horrific ordeal was recounted in the family’s online fundraiser:

Our son’s cat was out for his normal morning stroll around the neighbors as always. Only this time when he came home he was brutally attacked by someone’s kid. We have filed a police report but sadly we don’t have a well enough description of Simba’s attacker!

Simba had to go through a 6 hour surgery. His jaw was busted down the middle causing it to be broken on both sides. Both his upper and bottom lip was sliced open and needed to be stitched back together. He has numerous other fractures, missing his K-9 teeth and others were broken.

Simba has undergone surgery for his shattered jaw, but he is facing two months of recovery.

It was a boy in the neighborhood who witnessed the cruelty and took action to save the kitten, but he was unable to provide a clear description of the older boy who allegedly attacked Simba. The family has reported the incident to the local authorities.
